Aussie Solar Covers — Built for Aussie Conditions.
Protection You Can Rely On
Explore our range of solar inverter and battery covers designed for Australian outdoor conditions. Built for durability, easy installation, and reliable protection, our covers help safeguard your solar equipment from heat, rain, dust, and UV exposure.
Unprotected inverters can lose up to 20% efficiency due to thermal derating in 40°C heat. Our covers create a thermal shield that keeps your system running at 100% capacity.
Protect your solar inverter and battery with covers built for Australia’s harsh outdoor conditions. Our products combine durability, smart design, and great value to give your solar system long-lasting protection.
Why customers choose us:
Built for Aussie weather and outdoor installations
Proper ventilation for safe, efficient operation
Easy installation with a clean, professional finish
Durable, low-maintenance materials that last
Our enclosures are compatible with the Tesla Powerwall 3, Sungrow SBR, BYD Battery-Box, Enphase IQ, and Fronius Symo systems.

Our extra-deep enclosures are specifically engineered for high-capacity stacked systems, including BYD HVS/HVM stacks, AlphaESS configurations, and the new Tesla Powerwall 3 with elevated base requirements.
Precision-fit protection for Australia’s most popular inverters: Fronius Symo, Sungrow, SMA Sunny Boy, GoodWe DNS, Growatt, and SolarEdge systems.
Question For US
A fading or yellowing inverter display is usually caused by UV and heat from direct sunlight. It’s a sign the whole inverter is exposed — which can also mean overheating, reduced output and warranty risk. Yes, you should shade it.
Check your inverter’s app or monitoring portal for temperature warnings or reduced output on hot afternoons. If the display is unreadable, your installer can confirm the inverter is still working correctly.
Fit a cover with a front door or viewing access so you can still check the screen.

Do a quick visual check every 3 months and after storms, and book a professional inspection every few years (industry recommendations range from every two to every five years). Look for debris, pests, water, blocked vents and loose cover fixings.

Metal — specifically aluminium — is the better choice. It’s non-combustible, sheds heat, resists rot and termites, and lasts in Australian UV. Timber looks natural but is combustible, can hold moisture and needs ongoing maintenance, so keep it well away from batteries.
If you love the timber look, use a freestanding timber screen at a distance from the equipment, or aluminium with a timber-look finish.
Avoid dark or bare steel, which gets hot and rusts.

Inverters generate heat while working and need strong airflow around their heatsinks and fans. Batteries generate less heat but are more sensitive to high ambient temperature over time, which accelerates ageing. Both need shade; inverters especially need unobstructed airflow.
Batteries also have extra installation rules under AS/NZS 5139, including location restrictions and non-combustible barriers in some cases.
A good combined cover shades both, keeps each unit’s clearances, and allows access to isolators and the display. We have all solar battery and inverter covers available in stock and comes with a 12-month manufacturing warranty. A well-designed cover usually improves performance by keeping equipment cooler, so inverters derate less and batteries limit power less. A badly designed, enclosed cover can reduce performance by trapping heat. The difference is airflow.
Sungrow says that when an inverter is enclosed without enough airflow, it may overheat and derate, and datasheet efficiency and output are no longer guaranteed. Tesla notes Powerwall 3 performance may be de-rated above 40°C.
Covers don’t affect Wi-Fi much unless made of thick metal wrapped around the unit; if signal drops, ask your installer about a Wi-Fi extender or Ethernet.
